The INSTITUTO TERRAMAR is a non- profit organization, founded on July 14th 1993 growing out of the protest action SOS Sobrevivência (SOS Survival) in Prainha do Canto Verde.
AREA OF ACTIVITY
Terramar extends its work to fishing communities over
the whole coastal area of the state of Ceará, located in the northeast
of Brazil extending over 573 km of beautiful beaches.
To cover this large coastal area more efficiently Terramar
has established two centers of operation at about an equal distance
of 120 km from Fortaleaza: on the east coast in the community of Prainha
do Canto Verder (Beberibe) and on the west coast in Flecheiras (Trairí).
ORGANIZATION
